Holiday Mission

I've a mission to accomplish in this holiday - cycling. Been nagging daddy for months to remove that 2 extra little wheels, so that I can cycle a "real" bike. Daddy bought me the guards to protect me from nasty falls.

Day 2: And I fell... I didn't cry. I got up right away and continue.

I'll conquer this bike by end of this holiday!!! LOL!

Revision & Exam

It's always revision and exam before a holiday. Below are some revision I've done before my exam (forgot to take other subjects). I loved them all (I preferred doing this than pure reading).

Master Mind Again

I haven't played this game for a week or so. Last night mummy said "come, we play master mind." "Yeah!" I replied happily.

Mummy made the code, and without mummy's help this time, I broke the code by myself with 4 attempts. Yippee!!!

Then my turn to make the code and mummy the code breaker. Mummy used up all her lines. It was the last attempt that she broke my code. LOL!!!

After that mummy wanted to try again see if I really understand the game. Unfortunately, I only got the first time correct without mummy's help (as seen above), needed little help for the rest. =P

Chopsticks

After seeing one of my classmate used chopstick during break time, I told mum I want to use chopsticks also.

Mummy bought these for me in Feb. They are training chopsticks, with 2 round rubbers on them for me to hold them correctly . But I found its easier to use it without the training rubbers. However without the rubbers, I probably hold them wrongly.

Easy job! Kekekek...

Dream Come True + Butterfly Farm + World Breastfeeding Week 2011

"Mummy, I think sitting in a bus must be very nice.", "Mummy, why don't we take bus?", "Mummy, I want to take the bus.", "Wah, this bus is so big ah, must be very nice."....... I've been nagging and hinting mummy for years about taking a bus. Finally my dream came true last Sunday.

Mummy wanted to join in the flashmob at Gurney Plaza last Sunday for the World Breastfeeding Week 2011. But daddy needed to attend a full-day course (from 9am-6pm) on that day. So if we were to follow daddy's car (only has 1 car), me, YangYang and mummy must leave at 8am in the morning too, but the flashmob is at 2:30pm. =( Mummy was scratching head to join the flashmob or not to join. If she joined, what to do in Gurney Plaza from 9am-6pm except for the flashmob at 2:30pm, and its only for 5 mins. And she has to carry YangYang and me tagging along. Long story short, mummy decided to go and granted my long-wished dream - a bus ride (actually to kill her time :p). We went to Penang Butterfly Farm by BUS! Another reason why mummy chose the Butterfly Farm was because I wanted to see beetle (big one).

It was about 9am and sunny day. We waited at the bus stop near Gurney Plaza.

It was too hot at the bus stop, so we waited under a tree next to the bus stop, but we have to stand. And what a day, we waited for an hour only found out that no bus would come to this bus stop, and this bus stop has been rejected. WHAT?!?!?! AIYO!!!!! FOR ONE WHOLE HOUR WE WAITED THERE!!! SIGH! Then we had to walk to a bus stop further down the road. Poor mummy, she was babywearing Yang Yang, carrying a bag and also holding my hand. About 5 minutes walk, we reached another bus stop. Waited for another 5-10 minutes. It was so hot. In order not to regret, mummy kept saying 'Butterfly Farm' 'Butterfly Farm'... This is what people say 'keep your eye on the prize.' =)

Luckily the bus came after 5-10mins. This is my FIRST TIME taking a bus. I was so happy. An old lady (not so old la actually) was so kind to offer us her seat, as she said she was about to get down. It was an educational trip for me too. In the bus, I've learnt the STOP bell - we have to press the STOP bell (they are everywhere) when we reach our destination and want to get down. Otherwise the bus driver wouldn't know. I also learnt "Danger, don't stand near the door".

I tried to reach my hand out, but no butterfly land on my hand. Not as lucky as my first time here (a butterfly landed on my forehead).

Finally I saw beetles, mission accomplished, not live one tho. Actually I saw live one before during my first visit.

This is really a BIG beetle.

Her name is Orni! Kinda cute. After butterfly farm, we took another bus back to Gurney Plaza for the flashmob.

This is our first flashmob. Can you see me and mummy and YangYang? Hint: at the side. =)

After the flashmob, I was half dead. So we went to the nursing room. Luckily the couch is long enough for me to sleep. Mummy breastfed YangYang there while I was sleeping.

I was really tired.

One hour later, I've recharged and hungry. Snack time. We had Tau-fu-fa.

Low tide?

Thank God daddy finished his course and joined us at 6pm+. We had dinner at Gurney Drive and reached home at 8pm+. What a tiring and fruitful day!

Master Mind

Daddy bought a mini Master Mind game from MMPS (Mother-to-Mother Peer Support, a breastfeeding support group in Penang that mummy involves in) jumbo sales few months back. This game has been lying in my toy box for months until last 2 weeks.

It is really mini size. I like to play this game very much. In the beginning, I preferred to be the code-maker, didn't want to be the code-breaker. Mummy said I'm a lazy person, don't like difficult/challenging stuff, but the easy one. So she didn't want to play with me anymore until I surrendered and take turn to be the code-maker and code-breaker.

Yeah! The winner got the prize. Whoever won the game, I'll give them the silver medal I won from my Jin Ren kindergarten sport's day.

I also give them these, they were made by my teacher in Master Kids kindy 2 years ago.

What Smell Is This?

Daddy bought 3 durians last Friday ("Xiao-Hong", "Kun-Bao", and "Hu-Lu"). They enjoyed it very much that night. But I didn't feel like eating.

The next morning, daddy put his fingers (right hand) near my nose and then he asked "what smell is this?" (he was expecting me to say durian smell). But instead I said "xiao hong" (小红 in Chinese). Daddy was shocked! Hahhahaa... and then he tried another hand (left) and asked "what smell is this?" "Kun-Bao" I said. LOL ^0^

Don't Waste Food

Mummy and I drew some cartoons (following those on my table) 2 days ago. I drew dolphin, giraffe and tiger.

Very concentrate in drawing my tiger.

Mummy and daddy both said very nice. Then daddy asked "Why 1 leg big and 1 leg small?" Then I said "1 leg behind (so it's small) and 1 leg in front (so it's big)."

Cut Hair

Last Sunday, I happily followed Uncle Lai a.k.a Uncle Jason a.k.a 阿来叔叔 to the saloon and had my hair cut. Mummy said I "kepoh". WHY? Because mummy has been persuading me to cut my hair for weeks but I insisted NOT, despite of hot weather, lazy to tie them up, it looked messy and hot, and last but not least, very difficult to comb after washing. But when Uncle Jason wanted to go last Sunday, I excitedly asked mummy "Can I go saloon with 阿来叔叔?" "You want to cut your hair?" mummy asked. "WANT!" I answered happily. Mummy was like "WHAT? I've been asking you for so many times and you didn't want. But now you want to go because 阿来叔叔 go? Good too la! I don't have to persuade anymore. -_-"

After that, I didn't quite like the outcome. I told mum "I think I don't look nice in short hair." My mood wasn't good that day and I cried too. Though everybody said I look nice and pretty. =( I even asked mum and dad go and cut their hair short too.

The next day (Monday), I was back to a happy me. Because my ex-boyfriend 'Dun Hong' said I look nice. ^0^

Officially 5 - Happy Birthday

Yeah! I'm officially 5 years old 2 days ago (5th July). Mummy thought that it would be fun and I would be happy if my classmates sang me birthday song and I cut the cake in class. So she asked me if I wanted to do so a week ago. Happily I said yes. But a day before my birthday, I changed my mind. Reason was "I scared ants go eat my cake!" -_-"

Out at our balcony for our evening walk after dinner. I kept on asking, "Can I eat the cake now?"

Of course mummy said "Wait, later." -_- So I entertained myself with "flower plucking" activity. LOL!

FINALLY!!! It's 7:45pm. It's MY TIME! I chose this cake last night. Daddy asked "Why not the ice-cream cake?" "It has no cartoon on it!" I replied. Happily showing Yeh-yeh (grandpa) it has my name on it. ^0^ (I gave these 2 cartoons to my teachers as present the next day. Daddy mummy are very happy that I've learnt the Law of Giving. I always did so. I've given them the flowers from my balcony too. Haha!)

Animals United

It's been a week, I've probably forgotten bout my Mulan, and addicted to this animals movie. I'd laugh out loud every time. There is a leopard in the movie that I'm afraid of. When it comes out, I'd escape and look for mum (if nobody watching with me or I'm alone). But yesterday, I didn't run away. Instead, I said "Come la, come la. I'm not afraid of you." (mummy taught me this) Sure enough, I "fought" with the leopard bravely. Muahahahahah!

Fun Time with Yang Yang

I like to play with my little brother, Yang Yang. But most of the time, I can't control myself as I'm too clumsy. Yang Yang would cry for help then. :P

Horray! I can carry Yang Yang like this now. Mummy kept reminding me "hold on tight huh". After taking this photo, Yang Yang nearly fell down as he was tired, wanted to sit down, and I lost balance too. Luckily mummy was there to the rescue.

I wanted to imitated Yang Yang, putting my thumb in the mouth. However, my mouth is full of breads. :P

Little Mermaid

I learnt about Little Mermaid from the online Disney games website. Since then, I always said "Mummy, I want to be like Little Mermaid. I want to swim like her, I don't want my legs." Few months later, mummy bought the DVD. After watching one time, I didn't want to watch anymore because I was afraid of the witch. But still I like Little Mermaid. Now I'm Ariel. ^0^

No More Pretty Jie-jie (Sister)

I've this bad habit of scratching my body if its itchy (I always itchy here and there). I'd scratch and scratch and scratch until I hurt myself. Thus I've many scars over my hands and legs. Tonight, daddy said something which made me very SAD. "Aiyo, no more pretty Jie-jie."

That really got me. I was so sad. And thus this face. Mummy asked what happened. "No more pretty Jie-jie." I replied. =(

2-week School Break + Pahang Trip

Yippeee!!! School holiday, don't have to go to school. :P So how did I spend my holiday?

Watch MULAN II (sometimes MULAN I) again and again. EVERYDAY!

Play online Disney games. My favorite is Toy Story 3 - Day Care.

Play with Hui-hui meimei on weekend. Share my bread/toys with her (sometimes don't share, depends on my mood).

Finish all my holiday homework before an exciting and long waited trip back to Pahang.

Pahang (mummy's hometown) Trip (2011 June 3-10)

I was so excited on 3 June, because this was the day we travel back to Pahang and visit Wai-gong & Wai-poh. Throughout the journey, I liked to play with my little YangYang. YangYang always responded with laughs.

All were excited and happy.

We stopped by Ipoh for lunch. Mummy wanted to eat their famous Kuey Teow soup. But quite disappointed as it wasn't as smooth as it used to.

After lunch, we continue our journey, and I slept quite a lot in the car. :)

We were happy to meet Wai-gong and Wai-poh, after 1 and a half year. The next day, we went up to Genting Strawberry Farm to celebrate Father's Day & Mother's Day. A different kinda celebration.

We can pick our own strawberries. Quite disappointed too as it wasn't what it seemed on the website. Not many strawberries, and most of them were quite small. While we were picking our own strawberries, Wai-gong can't wait to taste it, so he went to the counter and bought a pack. LOL! Oh the weather was quite warm.

We picked all these. Yummylicious!

We had lunch there too. Bit disappointed too as mummy thought there was Strawberry Pizza, but nope. Wai-gong and Wai-poh chose Chicken Rice, me chose my all time favorite - Nasi Lemak, shared with daddy, whereas mummy had spaghetti. We had the opportunity to take picture with peacocks, big and small ones. RM15 for 4 peacocks.

Mushroom Farm is just next to the Strawberry Farm. It was cold inside, and again another disappointment as there aren't many mushrooms.

Here I taught Wai-gong the "turtle" game. =D

I've been pestering mummy to let me help with the chores for months. In Penang, mummy always said "we have kakak now, so let kakak do the chores. If one day, no more kakak, then you help mummy. Ok?" Now this is my chance, there is no "kakak" at Wai-poh's house, so I pester mummy again. And mummy thought "Why not?" :) Heres me first time washing the dishes.

After washing, I insisted to arrange them "properly", like this.

Wai-poh has her own organic farm. She would "work" here every evening. And I voluntarily offered my help too. :P

Tonight's dinner!!!

My cousin, Han-han gor-gor. We used to play a lot when I was 1 year plus.

The MULAN fever still carries on at Wai-poh's house. Everyday I would go "mummy, can I watch MULAN?" Maybe too much of MULAN, I started to want to be like MULAN. I want to tied up my hair like MULAN.

And fight like MULAN!

We even brought Wai-poh to the newly opened Secret Recipe. She never been to SR.

These were our cakes: Strawberry Cheese cake for me, Blueberry Cheese cake for Wai-poh and Green Tea Cheese cake for daddy and mummy.

Another day in the farm. This time I got to play with the soil. Wai-poh asked me to loosen the soil but I kept pressing the soil and make it firm. :P

OH! 1 week was too short for me. I didn't want to go back Penang. :( But had to say byebye. Last picture with Wai-poh before we left.

Kindy's Report Book 1

*Mummy and I were walking behind a car, suddenly the car reversed (without the reverse lights on). Luckily it wasn't too close, otherwise we would have been.....

Mummy recorded my kindy's sport day with her camcorder. But too bad, the mini disc spoilt and got formatted by itself. All recorded stuff gone. *sob sob*

Dance, Sports, Exams, Mother's Day

Mummy's camera is not working well (sent to service), so couldn't take photos of me for long time. *sob sob* How can I live without camera? *sob sob* ='(

Anyway, some updates from me:

1. Dancing Performance - I've been practicing dancing in my kindy for weeks. Its for our year-end concert in Oct. Teacher even asked us to go to school last Saturday just to practice it. There are quite many steps to remember. I can remember most of them. The easiest part is clap and then wave hand. Teacher said its 'kill mosquito, n mosquito fly away.' Hahahaha! Like this easy to remember.

2. Sports Day - 20 May is my kindy's sports day. Each of us bought a sport t-shirt costs RM 8. It will be held at the Stadium Merdeka near our house, the stadium I always go on Sunday or holidays. Yesterday, I brought back the Sports Day card with a piece of paper inside to write my name and daddy's name on it. This means both daddy and I are going to take part in the games. Yippppeeeee!!! Can't wait!! Mummy will be responsible on taking care of di-di and at the same time, video us. Hope she can cope with that. Hope di-di good boy, sleep in the pouch.

3. Exams - I did quite well in my exams (April). BM - 90%, BI - 100%, BC - 95%, Math - 100%, Moral - 96%, Science - 85%. Mummy and daddy are so proud of me.

4. Happy Mother's Day - I made a craft (with teacher's help) for mummy on last Friday. When I reached home, I asked 'kakak' (the maid) "I want madam, where is madam", because I wanted to show her the gift I made for her. Mummy came then and I shouted "Happy Mother's Day" and handed her my gift. Mummy's heart melted while I was busy telling her I did which part and teacher did which part (mostly teacher did :p).

5. Donate Blood - We went donate blood on Mother's Day. Mummy wanted to donate but was rejected due to breastfeeding. Nurse said must wait until di-di one year old then only can donate. So we waited for daddy. I always asked "Why kid cannot donate blood?" and can't wait to grow up so that I can donate blood and save a life too. =)

Junk Food

And I suddenly said "junk food 就是 junk food lah, 还 vitamin 什么!" (junk food is junk food lah, what vitamins!) Mummy laughed laughed laughed and said "yalo ho, good girl."

She Is Your Wife

Yesterday morning, me and daddy came back with the breakfast:

Daddy :"Go see your mummy wake up already or not, ask her come down and eat nasi lemak."
Yin Yue :"You yourself go la! She is your wife, not my wife. She married to you. I never married her."

Then quickly went wash my hands, as I wanted to eat my favorite -> NASI LEMAK!

Financial Lessons 2

After knowing the origin of money, the concept of money from games and stories, the next step is to know where does money come from by:

1. Letting the children know their parents' work. This one I sure know as I go to yeh-yeh (grandpa)'s shop everyday. So I know about daddy's work. Sometimes I even "help" daddy to repair the engines/machines! =D

2. Letting the children pay. This is a good educational opportunity. This means let me pay for my own school fees. So I'd know we need to pay money one for certain things. And to value it. This also can train my responsibility.

So mummy put this month's school fees in this envelope and wrote "Please put the receipt into this envelope. Thanks!" As this is my first time, so daddy accompanied me to the teacher and explained to her. Next time, and many months to come, I'll pay myself. Mission accomplished! =D

We heard this song on the radio last night. It's always mummy's favorite song. So mummy sang along with the song and taught me the chorus. Then we sing sing sing, and suddenly I said "Mummy, you sing better than them."

Financial Lessons 1

Last Sunday, daddy borrowed a book in the library called "Child's Life Financial Plan". In the book, it stated a child should learn about money concept as early as possible. Can start at age 2 or 3 or even earlier. Daddy found that it is indeed a good book. So daddy followed the plan in the book. And so, I started my financial lessons last week.

Step 1 : Instilling the concept of money. This step is 'About the origin of money'. I got the understanding of money from stories and games.

After telling me some money stories, mommy decided to play a game. My beloved "masak-masak". But not the usual "masak-masak". This time, we involved $$$. Mummy created these money. RM10, RM5, RM1, 50 cents, 20 cents and 10 cents.

Mummy divided the money into 2 for me and herself.

I even have my own purse to put my money in. "fake" LV. =P

Mummy owned a veges and fruits stall in 'pasar' (market). I was the customer named SHARON (I requested this myself). So I went to her stall to buy fresh veges and fruits. I buy and buy and buy until my money getting less.

Yin Yue : "Wah, why my money getting less and less?"

Mummy : "Because you used your money to buy veges and fruits. If you want to have more money, you gotta work or better - do business."

After hearing what mummy said, I quickly suggested we switch roles. I became the owner of the stall so I can earn more money. LOL!

Roles switched. Mummy came and bought many veges and fruits as she has a party at night. Since she bought so many, so the total was RM40.

Mummy : "Wah, so expensive ah Sharon. Can give discount a bit?"

"Sharon" : "hmmmmmmm.... RM1."

Mummy : "AH!!!!! So cheap? You will be out of business very soon then."

"Sharon" : "Never mind la!"

Of cause never mind, because I wanted to switch role again as I want to throw a party myself too. =P

P/S: Mummy's purse was made of paper. =D

Daddy joined in the fun later. I bought all of the veges and fruits because I have a party at night.

So it cost me quite a lot until I didn't know how to count. Daddy helped me with the money.

While daddy and I were playing, mummy took care of di-di (brother).

I Want to Marry You

I got mild flu on Wednesday. During our little chat time on the bed before we sleep, I told daddy I was very sad due to the flu. So daddy asked me to think of happy things, don't be sad. Suddenly in the midnight:

Yin Yue : "Daddy, I want to marry u."
Daddy : "Oh y?"
Yin Yue : "Because marriage is very happy, u told me to think happy things."

Because it was midnight, so daddy didn't bother much and slept. Then on Thursday nite, when daddy was shaving his beard:

Yin Yue : "Daddy, y do u have so many beards?"
Daddy : "Man is like that."
Yin Yue : "eeeeee.... I don't want to marry u now. I want to marry Dun Hong. Dun Hong has no beards. I like him VERY much."

* Dun Hong is my classmate.
* Mummy laughed and realized that this has come --> "I like xxx, I want to marry xxx." And adults will always go "is he your boyfriend?" "who is your boyfriend?" kinda stuff. :|

2nd Exam

I had my first exam in Masterkid mid of 2010. Maths 100%, English 98%. I wasn't happy with the 98%, I wanted 100%. Mummy tried her best to make me happy "98% is indeed very good already. No 100% never mind, important is you learn what you did wrong this time and never repeat again next time."

Last week, I had my second exam in my new kindy. Bahasa Malaysia 21/24, Math 25/25. This time I was "Ok" with the 21/24 in Bahasa Malaysia.

Little Painter

I love painting very much. Mummy lets me paint a lot nowadays as she needs to take care of my little brother. I'd take all the necessary stuff myself. Eg: paint brush and fill the water in the container myself. Paint until I satisfied, then wash the brush, clean the floor, and then proudly present my masterpiece to mummy. =P
My first masterpiece of the day. Nice pretty flower.

Second masterpiece. With some hills and GHOSTS. Me stamping the ghost's eyes with my finger. Noticed that I drew a lot of ghosts these days, so mummy asked:

Mummy: "BB ah, why you always draw ghosts?"
YinYue: "Want to show you how to draw ghosts."
Mummy: "Oooo! Then do you scare of ghosts?"
YinYue: "No lah! Last time scared, now no more."

Then the next day, I brought my masterpieces to kindergarten and show my teacher. Teacher said "Wah, that's so nice".

Sunday da Library Day

We go to library every Sunday. This is the second time YangYang followed us to the library. He spent most of his time sleeping in his pouch. This library is super duper cold normally, so mummy geared up YangYang with long sleeves, long pants, mittens & socks. But it turned out not so cold yesterday. Mummy had to sit at a fix place where she can felt the air-con, so that YangYang can sleep comfortably in the pouch.

P/S: Each time we go, mummy has to wear t-shirt. Reason is, they don't allow singlet or spaghetti strap in the library. Got such rule one meh?

They added some family bonding games such as puzzles, congkak, monopoly, etc. Knowing that we were going to play some puzzles, I was so excited. This is a 4-in-1 mini puzzles.

Take photo with mummy and di-di first before solving the puzzles.

Notes: This library is still new, still in process of bringing in more books. Thus, so empty.

Then we played this GIANT puzzle. Look at me "WOH! SO BIG!"

Wala! Look at this GIANT puzzle. I had lots of fun solving the puzzles until I forgot my routine favorite - slide. Luckily I still have a lil time to slide while daddy was lining up for the books.

Forgot to mention, in order to "pinjam" those puzzles to play in the library, we need to be the member of Kelab Aktiviti PPAPP (don't know what is that). Paid RM2 and get this tag. =)

No Sweet Without Sweat (先苦后甜)

When I do homework, I like to finish more difficult/longer part first. For eg. the above picture has page #15 (sun) & 16 (ruler). Below is page #14 (tongue). Mummy first asked me to write page #14 but I said "No, I want to finish sun and ruler first." Mummy asked "Why?" "Because they are more to write."

After finishing the above 2 pages, I then continue with page #14 - less to write.

* Mummy was wondering how come I learnt the "No Sweet Without Sweat".

一物二用 (1 Thing 2 Uses / A dual use)

I like to "boil phone porridge" (talk on the phone for long time - bad habit) very much since age 3. I'd just talk and talk and talk with "my friend". Yesterday mummy caught me boiling my porridge again. The conversation went:

Yin Yue: "what happened to you? huh? ur mummy die already? (with the sad look and voice) Ok, I come over now and see ur mummy!!!"

*Mummy shakes head if this habit continues when I grow up.

I can use my phone as a microphone too. I'm good in composing new song (new lyrics). =P

Mix-n-Match

My whole family (daddy, mummy and I, di-di no teeth, cannot eat yet) likes to eat "tofu flower" (dao fu fa) a lot. =D We would eat everyday if the uncle sell everyday. But too bad, he sells on Wednesday and Saturday only, sometimes Sunday. Last Sunday, we tried on something new. Daddy loves to do so. We added in some dark chocolate and orange juice.

Left to right: Original, +orange juice, +dark chocolate. Orange juice + "tofu flower" = not so nice. Dark chocolate + "tofu flower" = quite ok. I love this, because I love dark chocolate. I finished all. Mummy still prefer the original with brown sugar. Daddy has to finish the not-so-nice orange juicy tofu flower. LOL! XD!

Imitate

I like to imitate mummy since di-di was born. This was how mummy wrap di-di.

Mummy likes to sit like this and play with di-di, with her glasses on her head. =P

I put my "baby" in di-di's "sarong", then clip it so that my baby won't fall down. Just like what mummy always did.

Mummy loves to put her glasses on her head, cause easy to reach whenever she needs it. *I was drinking water, so... *

Flower for You

It's been long time since my last art work. So mummy decided to let me have the fun again yesterday afternoon. We are going to make a flower. Mummy helped cut the lines on the toilet roll.

Then I colored it red as I like red roses. =)

YangYang was watching me.

No painting for him yet, so only can 'finger licking good'. =)

Tada, it became like this. Let it dry.

While waiting for the flower to dry, I did this. I love hand print.

Satisfied with my hand print, I cleaned up the mess. I washed the brush and mop the floor.

I even mop yeh-yeh's (grandpa) table.

Buttocks

When it was about bed time last night, daddy, mummy and I were all prepared to sleep. Di-di was sleeping soundly then. Usually we will have a little chit-chat first before we all fall asleep. So as usual, last night, we chat and chat. Suddenly:

Yin Yue: "Daddy ah, can you help me go down to kitchen, and bring the knife, to cut my buttocks?"
Daddy: "Why you want to cut your buttocks???"
Yin Yue: "Because ITCHY ah!"

Primary School Registration

Time flies time flies. This photo was taken when I was 1 year and 2 months old (cute neh! hahaha...). And now I need to register into primary school for standard one. Time really travels very very fast.

There is only one Chinese primary school at my place, and this is the one daddy studied 20 over years ago, so no need headache on which school to choose. HA! =D Yesterday daddy went to register for me. It was a hassle-free and quick registration. Maybe here is a 'kampung' (village), so not as headache as big city. =P

I've quite a number of friends in my bloglist also registered. Chloe, May and Gwen (hope I didn't miss anyone). If we all same school, how nice would that be. =)

Mummy was wondering why do we need to register twice (register this year, and register again next year). Any uncles aunties can tell mummy?

The public library at my place is doing their best upgrading and getting more and more books for us. Daddy and mummy like to borrow fun, colorful, and educational books for me. The most important part is, the words must be big big one for a 4 years+ old me to read.

Recently, daddy found some of HIS favorite books as below:

"BB, don't waste water", "BB, close the tap"... etc etc. These are the words my daddy always said. So when he saw this book, he was more excited than me.

This is another book that my daddy likes. Do you turn off your light when you leave your room?

Below are some science books mummy thought really educational. Daddy mummy didn't even know some of the facts. Let's see.

This book is about a lizard named Gecko loses its tail!

Getting to know more about Geckos. Some real interesting facts about Geckos. Mummy never knew Geckos also use their tongue to clean their eyes!

A book about busy little bees.

Many facts that most adults don't even know. For eg. drones (male bees) do not have stings, bees cannot see red! Bees do a special dance and form an '8' when they found food. Cool!

Now a book about ants. My house got many ants. LOL!

I always wondered how the ants find their way home. Now I know. They leave a trail of scent wherever they go. Do you know? =)

I like this book, butterfly is very beautiful.

Interesting facts about butterflies: they are near-sighted, they can smell flower's fragrance from as far as one to two kilometres away using their antennae or feelers.

To share or not to share my toys or food with others, it all depend on my mood. If I'm in good-mood form, I'd share a thing or two. If not, no talk. So mummy always headache teaching me 'share share share'. Moral of this book is "It is better to share things, and have less, than to have nothing at all."

I've a bad habit, which is I lost interest in one thing very fast, cannot concentrate in one thing. So daddy borrow this book for me so I can understand the importance of 'concentration'.

Do You Help Mummy.....?

Mummy made Cheese + CNY Cake Rolls yesterday afternoon. While making, I busy asking mummy "Do you still want this bowl? If not, I'll wash it." "This one don't want ah, I wash OK?", etc. Mummy was curious why suddenly I became so hardworking and willing to help mummy. Only then found out that teacher asked all the students yesterday morning "Do you help mummy wash the dishes at home?"I told mummy "Mummy, I good girl, I help you wash the dishes." ^_^
The rolls, Daddy and uncle tried it and loved it. But I didn't like it after tasting half of it. Weird case, cause cheese is my favorite. Maybe I was up to something else.

This was the one. I was busy with tidying up my toy box at that moment. Then I said "Mummy look, I help tidy my toy box."

Look how neat and tidy my toy box is. *Mummy hopes that the teacher asks these kinda questions everyday. LOL*

Here I was showing di-di how to play one of my toys.

Later at night, I played "pirated Lego" with mummy. I called this "building blocks" game. Mummy is very lousy in this, not creative at all. These two were created by mummy, they are ROBOTS! But I like them so much. These two are flying and swimming robots. I had lots of fun playing these robots with mummy. Talking about creativity, I'll blog one later on daddy's and mine creative works. Hahahaha... Oh forgot, I named my robots ROBOTICIOUS and CAP-POPOTAMUS! @_@

While mummy and I were having fun, daddy came and destroyed our robots. He was a bit "imbalance" already I would say, cause he was the one taking care of di-di while mummy and I having fun playing robots. Looking at it, he acted as a GIANT MONSTER and used his GIANT FOOT to stepped and spoiled my ROBOTICIOUS! Then I quickly built a BIG TANK with BOMBS and bomb this giant monster. Hahahha... we had a lot of fun. XD

Sick

Last Sunday, we went to USM's 1Malaysia Woman Carnival. WABA and MMPS (Mother-to-Mother Peer Support), a Penang breastfeeding support group, shared a booth there. As a core member of MMPS, mummy brought us all there to support and "jaga" the booth for 2 hours. Here you see are mummy and Yang Yang di-di in his new pouch. Mummy has blog about this pouch here. Where was I? I was lying on the mat. Can see me?

Why was I lying on the mat? Coz I wasn't feeling well. I was alright in the car before reaching the hall. When we reached the hall, there wasn't any trees in the car park. Alamak! After parking the car, we had to walk to the hall under the HOT HOT HOT HOT sun! Before that, we were in the car with AIR-CON. Then straight away entered into the COLD COLD COLD COLD hall. After about 20-30 minutes, I started to feel dizzy. Daddy asked me to lie down there.

Am I cool? Despites of the dizziness, I still can play, run and act like James Bond girl. LOL!

I even got myself a red balloon from another booth. After another 30 minutes, I told daddy I was very cold. Then we all left the hall and walk to the car under the HOT HOT HOT HOT sun again (from the cold hall). We cancelled our dinner with my aunt and headed straight home because they knew something wasn't right when I rejected mummy's snack when she offered me. The "normal" me won't reject any food! I felt very dizzy and slept in the car.

They were right. I got fever on Sunday night, due to the hot cold hot cold situation. I was 38.7 degrees C at 9:30pm. Ate twice and vomited twice. But I still remember my red balloon. =P Mummy put the "Bye Bye Fever Pad" on my forehead, I've longed for it. Always wanted to stick it on but mummy said only to be used when I got fever. Now really got fever lah. "See, fever is no fun, do you still want to play with the bye bye fever pad?" mummy asked. "Don't want." I replied.

Before sleeping, I took a HOT BATH! Throughout the night, daddy and mummy were busy waking up asking me to drink water and taking the temperature. At 1:30am, I was 38.3 degrees C. Went down slightly. At 4am, I was 38.4 degrees C. Then at 8am, I was 38.3 degrees C. Mummy gave me Vitamin C instead of paracetamol. I've never taken paracetamol when I fall sick. Because mummy always said medicine is poison. Our body doesn't need it.

My temperature went down to 38 degrees C at 12pm and I got appetite to eat porridge and "ikan bilis" and some bean curd. I finished what mummy has given me and asked for more.

I took another HOT bath about 2:15pm and my temperature went down again to 37.8 degrees C at 2:30pm. No more headache and started to play like a "normal" me. Here I pretended my balloon was a mower and I was cutting the grass on the ground. LOL!!! Mummy continue giving me Vitamin C and lots of water and took another hot bath in the evening. My temperature went back to normal at 36.6 degrees C at 2am this morning.

Fever has gone and I was back to normal me, and so means I've to go to school today (was absent yesterday). But I told mummy I don't want to go to school this morning. Mummy asked why and I said I wanted to stay at home. After some "talking", I was Ok, took my breakfast and followed daddy to school. However, I cried a little bit when I reached school. Then teacher Mary came and carry me. I told teacher Mary "I ONLY WANT YOU TEACH ME!" (hahahhaha... broken English, cham-lah)

Remedy for my fever: multivits and minerals, vitamin C, lots of water and HOT BATH!

Sweet Potato + CNY Cake "番薯年糕饼"

After Chinese New Year, our house is full of "CNY Cake" (年糕), too many of them, mummy didn't know what to do with them and also bored with the old ordinary way (fry with flour) of cooking it. So, went search online and found few different ways to cook it. Yesterday we tried new way #1, fry with sweet potato + a lil flour. I helped with mixing the sweet potato and the flour (1/3 of it, mummy did 2/3 of it). Both of our hands were dirty, so we didn't take photos. It came out quite nice. Daddy asked for more but we only made 12. The outlook not so nice because we didn't peel off sweet potato's skin as it has nutrients.

Each of us has 2 pieces. I quite like the taste.

We played under the table this afternoon. Mummy sticked the pictures and I sticked the words accordingly. I've forgotten some of the words as long time no play. Then mummy tried to give me a simple word and I tried to find a related picture and make a simple sentence. Eg. 船 (boat) & 爸 (father), I put 爸 under 船 and said 爸爸坐船 (father sit in the boat).

My another name is Teoh "monyet". XD

New Old Bike

I got this "new" bike last month, mummy always forgot to blog about this. It looks rather old right? Yup, it's from a friend of my grandpa, her sons already grown up. But never mind, it's a brand new bike for me. Daddy said he will remove the extra wheels when he got the cycling gears to protect my knees and hands.

Me enjoying the bike very much, my tricycle? can pass to Yang Yang di-di. :)

Fun Fun Sunday

My Sunday would be more fun if my cousin sis, Hui Hui mei-mei is back. Last Sunday, we played toys together (we also fought for toys), we cycled together, we bathed together and we tried to sleep together but failed because she won't sleep if I'm around, only wanted to play. =P

"Yuuuuhoooooo" playground time. My happiest moment. This round, we bring Hui Hui along. Me as a big jie-jie, guide mei-mei to play.

Mummy didn't want to be alone at home, so she followed us there with YangYang.

"Come, Hui Hui, here" here comes two monkeys.

Hui Hui was quite brave, didn't scare of the big slide at all.

Mummy was sitting on the swing with Yang Yang, so we played see-saw.

I can finish this hangy thingy by my own, 1 round there, 1 round back.

"Meh-heh-heh-heh, come we ride horse"

Then mummy switched to see-saw.

And we can play swing. :)

Computer Class

"Mummy, computer class got AIR-CON! And got BLANKET! For the computers one." That was what I told mum the first thing when I reached home yesterday. lol! This is my computer book. I've learnt what is CPU, CD ROM Drive, Monitor, Keyboard, Joystick, Scanner, Printer, Bar Code Reader/Scanner, Computer, Notebook, IMac, Double Click, Left Click, Right Click, and Shut Down computer. And we can play game in computer class one. I am so happy. I like computer class.

My Classroom

My kindy is a very old kindy. It has been operating for more than 10 years. According to the principal, teacher Ooi, they follow the standard/syllabus (did I spell correctly?) of primary school. When primary school holiday, we get holiday too. That's good news for me as I know primary school has many holiday. LOL!!! =D

As of today, mummy still hasn't got the chance to see my kindy. So she asked daddy to take some photos.

This is my classroom. I'm the newest student, so I sit the nearest to the teacher's table so they can monitor my progress or so. There are quite a few of Malay students and one Indian student in my class. They all learn Chinese and will be going to Chinese primary school like me. Wow! Really "Satu Malaysia"! Can you see me in the photo? I'm the standing there. After about a week later, teacher changed my seat to the furthest from teacher's table, which is the empty seat you see in this photo.

That's me standing there saying "daddy, stop taking photos, go home". Hahahhahaa... When class starts at 8am, uncle will close the door.

Honest Child

There is a chapter in my Moral book titled "Be an honest child". After reading me this story, mommy said "Don't be scared, always tell mommy if you've done something wrong. Mommy won't scold you. Instead, mommy will praise you being an honest child like the boy in the story. If you didn't tell me, and I found out myself, I'll scold you then." "HM" I nodded my head.

Then this afternoon, I bathed alone. I like to bath alone nowadays. Because that's my splish splash time, muahahahha... I like to put on quite amount of body shampoo and shampoo and wash wash wash. Today, I put on the conditioner myself too. I just started using conditioner lately because of the shampoo. My hair are very soft actually, don't need conditioner. But daddy bought a new brand of shampoo and this shampoo make my hair 打结 (very hard to comb) after washing. So mommy started using a bit of conditioner to ease the combing. I LOVE IT VERY MUCH!!! Today I squeezed out a lot and it's going to finish. So I added in some water. Because I saw daddy did this when the shampoo or body shampoo was about to finish.

Mommy came in the toilet after awhile to check and make sure I didn't bath too long. She found out the conditioner and asked why. Then I said "It's going to finish so I add water." "Oh I see. No, you can't add water in the conditioner. Not like shampoo." Mommy said. Then I said "Oh! OK! You see? I honest one, I told you." =D

Jelly Jelly Yummy

Mommy learnt about this jelly thingy from auntie Alice blog, so she bought this and let me try. Actually bought this many months ago. :P I enjoyed the process very much. I was so excited to to take part, but this worried mommy coz the pot is hot. So mommy had to keep saying "hot ah, be careful". First, stir stir.

Then divide the 'longan' evenly into the container. We had 2 longans left in the end, I had one, mommy had one.

Lastly, pour the hot hot jelly into the container.

Then let it cold and put into fridge. We did this in the afternoon and tried my first made jelly at night right after dinner. Mommy wasn't free, had to take care of my lil brother, so didn't manage to take me photos while I was enjoying my pinky jelly.

The next day, I quickly take one more right after school.

After watching my aunt (小姑) 'make up' her fingernails, I wanted to make up my fingernails too. But my version is different. ^^

I've found that if I put some water on my nails, the color will be more sharp. Hehe!

Mind you, not too much water tho.

I'm right-handed. It's kinda difficult to color my right hand. I tried to color the first 3 fingers on my own. The last two, "mommy, can you help me please?"

Happy Valentines Day to all aunties and uncles. You think valentines day only for adults? No la, this is my lover a.k.a daddy. He loves me very much. We celebrated our v.day in Pizza Hut. :P

And this is mommy's new lover, Mr. Little Yang Yang. :P

Again, my cute cute poses started. :P

Kid means kid. Hahahhaha....

I asked for the cold cold drink, but my lover gave me this instead.

Mommy don't always allow me to drink this, only in Pizza Hut and during CNY.

While we enjoying our meal, mommy's lover was sleeping soundly in her arm.

This is what we ordered, the Ring of Fortune. Quite yummy if you like cheese, our favorite.

But it should be like this ma. Advertisement says like this.

Can sue them or not? Not getting what I see.

After the filling meal, we went to get the ingredients to make Tiramisu.

Tada!!! Mommy and daddy made this Tiramisu. Yummylicious!!!! Happy V.Day!!!

I love to sing birthday song. Everyday, I'd make something like a cake and candle or even draw the cake and candle on a piece of paper and sing birthday song. Today, I made this cake fo mommy and daddy. I pluck some flowers for the decoration. And the candles, in order to make them stand, I used the tape to stick them on the roll. Daddy was surprised too, as he himself didn't know how to make them stand. He kinda like my creative. :P Kakak helped lit the candles.

And here I come. 'Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to daddy and mommy, Happy Birthday to you!'

New Kindy

This is my 3rd kindy. My previous kindy D'Monte has closed due to no students. Sigh! Long and sad story. I just joined there on Oct 2010. That time still got quite a few students, about 5 in my class. But when I started the new term in 2011, left me and one Malay boy only. Kesian! Mommy and daddy had to find another kindy for me. Searched high and low, found one very nice, but full. Bad luck. When other kids started school on Monday, I not yet started. So I got pro-longed holidays. Yippeee!!! Happy for me, but not for mommy. :P

In the end, was told by an auntie in the clinic (DiDi's check up and injection day) there is another kindy nearby. After checking out, I started the school the next day. I like this school very much. I got new school uniform, new school bag, new friends, new teachers, and new environment. I was quite good girl the first day to new school, no crying, and said byebye to daddy happily. Mommy thought to herself 'my YinYue has grown up'. LOL! When daddy came pick me up at 12pm, teacher told daddy that I know quite many things already. Of cause la, I've joined 2 kindy. ;P

Mommy like this student record book. It records what homework I got for the day, and also my performance in school - concentrate, talkative, etc.

CNY eve: This is our happy family. Taken during reunion dinner. This family is expanding.

CNY eve: I can use chopsticks already. Yippeee!!

CNY eve: We made some 'tong yun' at night. How can the adults make these without me. Hahaha.

Day 1: Had fun swinging at aunt's house. I love to swing here. I can swing alone here, while everybody having fun in the house. Mommy saw me alone so came out and accompany me awhile.

Day 4: We went to our relative's open house at MoonLight Bay in Batu.F. Very nice house with private pool. Luckily mommy brought along my swimsuit.
