Early Old-Style Mooncake Festival Celebration

Age: 4 years, 2 months, 2 weeks & 1 day old

We had a small family Mooncake festival celebration (中秋晚会)on last Saturday night. Daddy purposely made me 2 old-style lanterns, with my name on it. Thank you daddy, I LOVE YOU!!!

My lantern. Daddy made it for me. You can't buy anywhere.

We carried the lanterns and had a walk outside. Mommy said she used to do the same thing when she was a kid too.

We walked to the dark place and let the lanterns to light our way.

Home-made lanterns (Pepsi can and 'kaya' can). =D

After the walk, we played 'masak-masak'. Mommy liked to play this when she was a kid. We picked some leaves and flowers outside and cooked. It smelled nice.

Candle = cooking oil.
Flower = chili.
Leaves = veges (eg. broccoli).

While we were enjoying the 'masak-masak', daddy was busy preparing the traditional food for Mooncake festival - 菱角,芋头

I enjoyed so much. "Mommy and daddy don't cook OK? I cook for you" I said.

What a mess.

Like I said earlier, the lantern has my name on it. "TEOH"

"YIN"

"YUE" =)

Wah, mommy put too much of oil. I've to sit further a bit.

Yeah, done with my 'masak-masak'. Next is the real 'makan' time.

小姑 (aunt) bought this Haagen-Dazs ice cream mooncake. Very expensive.

Only 小姑 can cut the mooncake.

Yeah, thank you 小姑。

Yum yum chocolate ice cream mooncake.

Our old-style celebration. Daddy bought the other 2 mooncakes - dragonfruit mooncake and black sesame mooncake.

Enjoying the mooncake with 爷爷 (grandpa).

Daddy's favorite - black sesame.

小姑 enjoying her mooncake too.

A big moo-moo is coming.

And also here come a small moo moo. =D

Malaysia Day

Age: 4 years, 2 months, 1 week & 5 days old

Yesterday was Malaysia Day, no school, so I spent my whole day at home with my most favorite dress. Actually it is mommy's dress, I insisted to wear it. In order not to disappoint me, mommy let me wear it the whole day (while shaking head whole day), except eating.

It is too long for me, so mommy tied the straps up.

Satisfied look or rather 'hiao' look. =D

Did homework with the dress.

Fight with daddy with the dress.

Slept with the dress.

After waking up, still refused to take it off.

Mooncake Festival Preparation

Age: 4 years, 2 months, 1 week & 4 days old

Mooncake festival (中秋节) is just around the corner, so we decorated our house last night.

After checking and making sure all the light bulbs are working, daddy bought 10 plus lanterns and hang them up, one by one.

Nice lanterns he bought. Daddy is busy hanging up the lanterns.

While I busy helping/passing daddy my modelling material to stick the lanterns on the walls, so that they won't fall down.

Wah, daddy's buttocks smelly. =D

Yeah, last lantern. Cheers.

All done. Now let's switch on the lights and see nice or not.

Ta-da!!!

Nice. Perfect.

童言 (Funny Child's Talk)

Age: 4 years, 2 months, 1 week & 1 day old

Talk #1
-------
Daddy: "Wah! BB, 你小酱多便啊? (you wee wee so much)
BB: "Han nah! Kakak 给我喝很多水 ma, 然后我就不会生病咯!" (I drink a lot of water, then I won't fall sick lo)
Daddy: "Wah! Kakak sayang 你 ho, daddy 也是 sayang 你 ho!" (kakak sayang u, daddy also sayang u ho)
BB: "Han nah! Daddy handsome. Daddy 吃很多 vege, 然后 daddy 放屁很臭." (daddy handsome, daddy eats a lot of veges, then daddy farted smelly)

Talk #2
-------
While we were crossing the Penang Bridge:

BB: "Wah! 那个 bus 酱大个!" (wah, that bus is so big - pointing to the sea)
小姑: "不是啦!那个是 '岛' 来的." (no lah, that is a small island)
BB: "OH! '豆'腐花 (广东话) 是吗? (oh, dao fu fa - in cantonese)

Talk #3
-------
Mommy always taught me to be grateful for what we have. Eg. when its windy and cool, mommy always said "Wah! It's so windy. Thanks Universe!" So I picked up this Law of Appreciation too. =)

BB: "Yeah! Thank you SKEY! 你给我们冷冷, 没有热热." (you give us cold cold, no hot hot)

I like to sing with my own created lyrics
--------------------------------------
BB: "I want nobody nobody but you (daddy, 看我, clown)."

Raya Celebration

Age: 4 years, 2 months, and 1 week old

Our plan today is:
1. Walk walk in Botanical Garden.
2. Swim in Youth Park.
3. Lunch at a restaurant recommended by my aunt (小姑).

We reached Botanical Garden quite early, about 8:10am. Car park is quite full.

So many joggers are there already.

We chose an up-hill-path, it was difficult for mommy as her belly is getting belly as my little didi (brother) is getting bigger. We took a break half way.

I can't wait to go swimming in Youth Park, so I walked the fastest. I was so far ahead of them.

After about 1-hour walk in Botanical Garden, we headed to Youth Park which is quite nearby. Can't wait to get into my swimsuit. Yippee!

"Yat, yi, sum.... (1, 2, 3 in Cantonese) ...."

"JUMP!!!"

Swimming excitedly.

1 hour later, daddy bathed me and recharged my energy first.

Group photo before leaving Youth Park.

We stopped by the children library in town to meet mommy's friend (awhile). There is a toy room. I asked "Mommy, what should I play?" Mommy pointed to this iron board and said "Nah, go iron clothes." Here I come, bravo iron lady, ironing kiddo's "cheongsam". =)

Then, we headed to this restaurant for lunch. It was highly recommended by my aunt (小姑). She said the food here is like 5-star-hotel food, but price is cheap like 2-star hotel. Let's try. Mommy ordered Pumpkin Soup and Fettucini Carbonara and Mango Juice. I shared with mommy.

My favorite - free flow ice cream. While enjoying my ice cream, I asked "Mommy, can you hold the spoon like this?"

Since daddy was stuck inside (my baby-chair is blocking), I shared my ice cream with daddy.

I was so full after all the soup, fettucini and ice cream.

I love daddy always. ;)
